OXNARD COLLEGE
Here is a wonderful photograph from my favorite city, Paris, France by the great street photographer, Henri Cartier-Bresson.
I learned to love art and photography while earning my B.A. in those subjects at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo. From 1990 to 1992, I lived and studied in Paris at the Universite de Paris X, Nanterre. Here I earned a degree in "ethnologie" or cultural anthropology as we call it in the U.S.A. I returned to earn my M.A. at California State University, Northridge where I incorporated this photograph into my thesis research which explored the identity of French women living in the United States.
Teaching anthropology is always interesting and continually shapes my view of the world. See you in class!
