This page contains the information you will need to directly submit your paper to turnitin. This has a couple of advantages. Number one is the fact that you will get an immediate "receipt" that it has been turned in...also, you will be put on a group "email list" that I will be able to use to contact you with information (and reminders) about this class. So...here are the steps:

1. Go to the website http://turnitin.com

2. In the upper right corner you will see the "create user profile". click on and put in your email address and your own password.

3. Follow the steps. You will be asked for your name, Country, State...etc.

4. On the "agreement page"...click "I agree"

5. Follow the steps for class enrollment. The current Class ID Number is located in the syllabus (see the Telecourse link) and the password is socrates.

6. Success...it should say you are enrolled in "Fall/Summer/Spring telecourse" (which ever one applies to you).

7. When you are ready to turn in your paper go back to the turnitin.com website...log in and click onto the telecourse. Go to the appropriate place and click the submit icon.

8. You have a couple of submission options...you can upload a file...or simply "cut and paste" (this option is located above your name). If you want to cut and paste...you can copy or "cut" your paper prior to logging on to this site...then select simply select the cut and paste option. Then in the blank space provided click "paste" and your work will be transferred. If you want to download your file then click the browser button and download a file containing your paper directly into the system.

REMEMBER: You will get a receipt sent to your email address that your paper was submitted successfully. Also, the website will not accept late papers...and neither will I. Therefore it is a good idea to log-in and enroll well in advance of the paper due date. Do not wait until the last minute to try and use this site. If you have problems with this site you can email me for help. Most students navigate this without any problems whatsoever.
