Introduction
Adobe Photoshop is the number one application used to create artwork and edit images for the web. The goal of this course is to help you learn Photoshop's tools and begin to explore the literally tons of possibilities for your own creative art for digital and print media. Skills will include: photo corrections, retouching and repairing, basic and advanced layer techniques, how to get the most out of masks and channels, correction and enhancing digital photos, typographic design, compositing, and producing consistent image color for web & print applications
One of the things I want to encourage is for you to use the tools in Photoshop to explore your own interests and to develop a “Style” that fits what you want to achieve with Photoshop. You can create just about anything you can dream of using photoshop -- it is a truly incredible creative tool. This young lady is Garsylfren -- created for a project involving the Rohirrim of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy.

June 12, 2011. I emailed the syllabus to the enrolled students on Thursday, June 9. They were actually sent twice. Once using the inclass vccc.edu email and again using whatever email you have on file via the roster page. IF you are enrolled and did not receive the syllabus, send me an email ASAP because that means there is a disconnect between your email and those on file for you in the class.
