Welcome to my College pages. I teach in several areas for Oxnard College but most recently I have been developing the online classes in Adobe applications: Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign and a new course in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). An exciting new development is that I am working with/for/on classes in a new Digital Media course progression that will let students expand on their Adobe suite skills!
How did I end up teaching these classes? I have been a web designer, developer, graphics design and 3d art design/creator for almost twenty years and look forward to sharing what I've learned over the years with you.
Keep an eye on the summer schedu
le, there will be a Photoshop I class offered online this summer and I am working with Dean Price to develoop an online portfolio of student work in which you could begin to develop your own portfolio credits! Watch for information on this developing program here on my home page.
Also for the first time, Digital Media classes this fall! Here's the information you need to check them out in our schedule:
DMS R121A Adobe Illustrator I CRN 70693 - this is the introductory course to Adobe Illustrator (Adobe's vector art creation software). It is totally online class whose first session will open up in the D2L system on August 22.
DMS R133 - Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) CRN 71211 - Cascading Style Sheets are the bits of code that make web pages look the way they do. You can create just about ANY effect you want -- literally -- by how you write your CSS code. This is the logical course to follow on to Dreamweaver (ever wanted to understand just what the heck DW was building for you? Or know how to refine it even more? CSS is the class where we explain all this and show you how to either edit or create your own web style using CSS.
email me with any questions about these classes.
