Mary Pinto-Casillas

Hello~

My name is Mary Pinto-Casillas, and I've been working at Oxnard College since 1992. I love living and working in Oxnard which is where I grew up. Oxnard College is a special place to me not only because I am an alumnus, but also because Oxnard College has given me the opportunity to advance academically and professionally. Oxnard College is a great place to be. Since receiving an associate of arts degree from OC in 1993, I've earned a bachelor of science degree in business administatration and a master's degree in business organizatinal management both from the University of La Verne.

If you want to learn basic office skills that come in handy no matter what profession you choose, then the enty-level office training program I teach is ideal for you. And it takes only one semester to complete! Upon successful completion students are ready to compete for employment in a variety of general office positions. Other positive benefits the program offers is a boost in self-esteem and confidence; discipline for study and work; and a review of some of the basics, and not so basics of English grammar; people skills; and communication techniques. Overall, the Office Occupations Preparation Program is great for many--whether undecided on a major or needing a basic set of skills that are applicable to a wide variety of jobs.
