Links to Curriculum Information
Abstract
- Typical use(s):
- Conduct Web-based research on curriculum issues
- Available data:
- A multitude of links to web pages and files that provide a wealth of information concerning the many issues that may arise in connection with the curriculum development process; the links are categorized according to topic
- File format(s):
- Variable; available formats are indicated for each document listed
Introduction
For your convenience, a list of local links to all topics on this page appears after each topic, in small sans-serif type.
Some documents are listed under more than one topic. Although this may seem redundant, certain documents address more than one topic, so they are listed under each pertinent topic. Please email the author of this page if you find an interesting site that you think should be added to the list, or if you believe that a document should be added or moved to a different topic, or if a technical problem prevents you from accessing the document.
The documents on this page are listed in a tabular format. The first column of each table gives the title and/or description of an online document, and the second column indicates the document's available file format(s); these words, if shown in color, also serve as direct hyperlinks to that document.
The source for each link is documented in the third column of each table that lists links. A legend near the end of this page lists the full organization name associated with each source abbreviation, and includes direct links to each organization's home page.
The fourth column of most tables has a heading containing the red notebook image shown at the beginning of this sentence; Yes or No entries next to each document description indicate whether the document is included in the "fat binder" entitled Curriculum Resource Material that attendees of the 1999 and 2000 Academic Senate for California Community Colleges Curriculum Institutes received.
These binders are a good alternative source of information for those who prefer not to download data from the Internet, although they will eventually become outdated.
The few tables not containing the column with the red notebook heading describe organizations or other information sources that would not be feasible to include in the "fat binder."
