Abstract

Typical use(s):
Obtain information on the administrative steps necessary for a course or program to be approved at Oxnard College
Available data:
Graphical flowchart diagram that depicts the major steps in the approval process
File format(s):
Compuserve GIF (for the flowchart graphic)

Introduction

The flowchart depicted below provides a general description of the route that a course or program proposal must follow in order to become approved at the college and district levels. Other approvals (articulation for some courses, and state approval for new programs) must also be obtained; these are separate processes that are not depicted here.

To view the diagram by itself, without the accompanying material on this Web page, use your mouse to right-click anywhere on the flowchart image. In the menu that will then appear, click the "Show picture", "View image", or similar option (the exact wording of the appropriate choice will depend on the specific Web browser you are using). This will be particularly helpful if you would like to print the flowchart without incorporating the remainder of this page into your result. To return to this page from the "bare" image, use the "Back" button in your browser.

Because the image is large, those desiring to print it may need to adjust the page margins through the File/Page Setup option accessible via most browsers' menu bars. We suggest that you use the Print Preview option before committing this flowchart to paper, in order to ensure that the page margins are set appropriately. In most cases, it is probably safe to set the page margins to zero, or to the smallest values that your browser and printer will accept.
