Background
After attending a community college for 2 years, Bret attended UCSB from 1988-1991 where he earned a Bachelor’s of Mathematics degree and a single subject (math) teaching credential for grades 7-12. While teaching at Sonora High School in Fullerton Ca, Bret took evening courses at Cal State Fullerton, and earned a Master’s of Mathematics degree in 1993. In addition to teaching high school, he began teaching part time at Citrus College in Glendora.
In 1995, Bret moved to Camarillo and taught at Camarillo High from 1995-2001. He joined Oxnard College as a full time math professor in 2001, and serves the math department on the College’s Academic Senate. Bret enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 sons, and playing basketball, softball and racquetball.
